The intention behind this large painting was to create a narrative where the viewer can observe the process of pollination as interpreted by the artists, GRIS ONE and Hanimal. Due to the characteristics of the space, this two-dimensional pictorial composition is divided into several parts.

THE STORY
Part 1. (Image 1) The story begins with the drawings of Hanimal, where he creates plants with meticulous detail highlighting each of its characteristics. These elements are accompanied by a series of butterflies painted by students of the Bradley School in a workshop created by GRIS ONE. This section seeks to highlight the importance of plants that feed animals and humans.
Part 2. (Images 2-3) Eastern blue bird and the tree — this part shows the transition between a landscape, in depth, and some local birds perching on a tree. Birds are an important part of pollination, and the plants or tree represents the end result of pollination: the fruit. The fruit would not be able to continue its cycle without birds or other pollinators.

Part 3. (Image 4) Floral abstraction. This section focuses on color and abstract forms alluding to light, an element of vital importance in the pollination process.
Part 4. (Image 5) Grass hopper. In the center of the composition is a cricket, created by Hanimal, where the pollinating animal can be seen feeding on the fruit of the plant.
Part 5 (Images 6-8) The land of pollinators. Bees, plants, butterflies and abstraction create the end of the composition. A multicolored landscape involving all the elements interacting with each other.

PROCESS
A deeper look into the process of creating "LA FUERZA DE POLINAZACIÓN" by GRIS ONE and Hanimal (Colombia) — a 300-foot long mural with tales of butterflies and bees; pollinators that are essential to the survival of our planet. Created at Bradley Elementary in East Boston for HARVEST: a collaboration of urban farming and public art with HarborArts, Eastie Farm, and Boston Public Schools.
INSPIRED BY YOUTH
As students tended to their gardens in the outdoor classroom, we learned to use the power of art to express our ideas about food and the environment in an emotional way. Together with teaching artists alongside GRIS ONE and Hanimal, we painted sea shells collected from our local beach with imagery that would inspire the concept for the final artwork.
During the installation process, GRIS ONE invited students to participate in painting the mural. After some brief instruction, students were given the freedom to choose their own colors and add butterflies to the mural.
