Transforming the landscape and inspiring lasting change in Boston.

HarborArts creates and presents public art as a platform for dialogue. Through the installation of monumental artworks and creative activations, we are cultivating community at the intersection of public art and activism.

The HarborArts Mural Map

A self-guided walking tour of the murals produced from 2020-2024

Using Google Earth, we created a walking tour of our most recent murals from the past four years.

There are 21 massive murals to see over a 2-mile walking path. There are no major inclines, making it an accessible experience for most.

It’s not a perfect tool, and it’s a work in progress, but we hope you will enjoy the trip!

Harvest mural project

Harvest: Murals and creative programs at Boston Public Schools with Eastie Farm.

Harvest is a collaboration of urban farming and public art. In a world where our future is uncertain due to the increased threat of climate change, food insecurity, and environmental injustice, it’s easy to feel powerless. Together, we are painting a new series of educational murals that empower and inspire people to take action with local climate initiatives. In coastal communities like East Boston, the preservation of open space is paramount to building a resilient community. Eastie Farm is doing so by transforming unused city lots into urban farms, while simultaneously addressing food security in our community.

Sea Walls Boston

HarborArts brought PangeaSeed Foundation’s Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans to Boston. In partnership with the New England Aquarium, we painted 21 murals to educate people about the critical issues facing our oceans and inspire environmental stewardship of our most important natural resources. Our team of local, regional and international artists came together to paint for a purpose and bring our oceans to the streets.
